Being a part of Liturgical Lay Ministry at Resurrection gives you the opportunity to engage in the Liturgy in many different ways! We encourage and welcome all parishioners to share their time and talent at our weekend Liturgies with the parish community!
CASE stands for Creating A Safe Environment and CASE requirements are set forth by the Diocese to ensure that our volunteers and staff are trained and cleared to work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
CASE training includes a background check and creates a safe environment by giving our volunteers who work with others the tools they need to know what abuse looks like and what action must be taken if they become aware of it.
CASE is valid for three years upon completion and must be completed prior to volunteering. No exceptions.
Some examples of those who are required to complete CASE Training (not limited to this list) are:
Eucharistic Ministers
Ushers
Cantors
Lectors
Choir Members (only if there are youth members present)
Those bringing communion to people who cannot attend Mass
Faith Formation Volunteers
CYO Volunteers
Please do not hesitate to contact Corynn Shaw if you are think you need CASE training or if you have any questions about CASE training.
Together, we Create A Safe Environment for everyone!
